Approaches

When banners by hand stop scaling, automate the repetitive part

Design editors are perfect for crafting a visual. But when the job becomes the same layout with new texts, prices and photos every day, every extra banner costs the same time. Template automation makes the hundredth banner as cheap as the first.

Signs it’s time to automate

  • Most of your banners are the same layout with different data.
  • Bulk features of the editor still need someone to start, check and download every batch.
  • Each new size or language means redoing designs that are already approved.
  • Text from the data overflows, and somebody fixes it banner by banner.

How teams move the routine out of the editor

  1. 1

    Pick the repetitive formats

Product cards, price banners, weekly posts: whatever is the same layout with new data.

  2. 2

    Turn each into a template

Rebuild it once in the Bannermatic editor with stacks and named layers. Usually under an hour.

  3. 3

    Connect the data and automate

The spreadsheet you already use, a feed or the API, on demand or on a schedule.

What changes for the team

Hours back every week

The repetitive part runs by itself; designers work on new ideas instead of exports.

Fewer mistakes

Data goes straight from the source into the image, with no copy-paste.

Part of your pipeline

REST API, webhooks, Google Drive and S3 make banners one more automated step.

Keep your design editor

Hand-crafted key visuals stay where they are; only the volume work moves.

Questions and answers

Can I import designs from other tools?

Yes, as SVG: export the design from your editor and import it; text exported as outlines becomes editable text again and images go to the media library. Then name the layers the data should fill.

Is it harder than a regular design editor?

Building a template takes a bit more structure (stacks and layer names), but running it is simpler: pick the data and press Run.

How many banners make automation worth it?

If you make the same layout more than a few dozen times a month, or in several sizes, a template pays off quickly. The free plan lets you check it on real data.
